What science changes

Experience becomes a professional position that carries weight.

Scientific Trainer is not another training in methods, instructional design or marketing. You work on the operating system: on your business model if you are self-employed, on your role if you are responsible for internal L&D. Your experience is the capital here, your DNA. Science makes it connect to what is needed from now on.

From good practice …

You know many methods. But your professional core stays hidden between familiar models and interchangeable promises.

Methods are easy to copy.

The difference comes only from your own understanding and your reasoned position.

Trend knowledge quickly sounds plausible.

Without research, myths, half-knowledge and strong claims are hard to spot.

Impact is often promised.

Without suitable indicators it remains open what your offering or programme actually changes.

After your project work

You stand behind an offering or programme of your own with a professional core that does not come from the next toolbox of methods.

  • Deep understanding: why the approach you chose can work and where its limits lie.
  • Your own position: which findings you connect and what you stand for professionally.
  • A stronger offering or programme: what follows from your position for structure, methods and transfer.
  • Credible impact: where change could later become visible.

For companies and internal L&D teams

From seven participants the Scientific Trainer runs as a dedicated company cohort, in German or English, embedded in the Scientist-Practitioner Programme with Masterclass, continuing education and applied studies. Individual participants from companies continue to book here on this page.

What is in the program

Science is the upgrade. Your experience remains the starting point.

You understand more deeply why people learn and change. You tell reliable findings from claims that merely sound plausible. And you connect several fields of research into a professional position of your own.

What comes out of this is not simply more knowledge but a stronger offering: independent, defensible, and with a plan for how its impact can become visible.

The full program

13 learning units, and each one answers a question in your project.

6Foundation units
6Transfer units
1Final day
Module 01Foundations · Units 1–6
Unit 01Translating science into practice & critical thinking

Separate peer-reviewed empirical findings from popular training myths and establish the evidence base for your project.

Unit 02AI tools for L&D

Deploy AI for literature synthesis and instructional structuring while retaining full control over source verification, data privacy and professional judgement.

Unit 03Neuroplasticity & synaptogenesis

You check which statements about learning and change hold up neurobiologically and how they become relevant for your project.

Unit 04Applied neuroanatomy & embodied cognition

You experience an embodied learning format and check what of it makes sense for the target group and learning objective of your own design.

Unit 05Neuropsychology

You take perception, emotion, motivation and decision-making into account where they actually influence the behaviour of your target group.

Unit 06Bio-psycho-social system levels

You avoid single-factor explanations and place causes and interventions at the biological, psychological and social level.

Module 02Transfer · Units 7–12
Unit 07Neuroscience-informed learning design & future skills

You translate learning principles into concrete learning steps, exercises and transfer tasks in your project.

Unit 08Artificial intelligence in L&D

You decide where AI usefully supports your own work and where AI competence itself has to be part of the learning objective.

Unit 09Evaluating impact and ROI

You define the change you want, possible indicators, data sources, points of measurement and the limits of what your evaluation concept can say.

Unit 10Neuropsychotherapy & evidence-based coaching

You check which therapeutic models can be carried over into coaching and training in a professionally sound and responsible way.

Unit 11Behavioural economics & neuroleadership

You analyse decision-making and leadership situations and give reasons for which models actually help your project.

Unit 12Neurosystemic change processes

You place your training in the wider context of change and plan what has to happen before, during and after the learning intervention.

Unit 13Presentation & pitch

You bring all project decisions together, present your transfer concept and answer professional questions.

Your path to a finished project

Four steps from knowledge to impact.

Every learning unit works on your real project. You do not simply collect research. You turn it into a better decision.

01

Understand

Why does something work, why does it fail?

You connect neuroscience, psychology, systems theory and your own context. That way you see more than individual methods.

You gaina deeper understanding of what works
02

Judge

What holds, and what do you stand for?

You examine sources, contrary findings and limits. Then you formulate the professional core that you stand behind yourself.

You developa professional position of your own
03

Design

What follows from that for your offering?

You translate your judgement into a training, consulting model or L&D project of your own, with fitting learning and transfer steps.

You builda stronger offering of your own
04

Make an impact

Where does change become visible?

You plan fitting indicators and data sources. On the final day you present understanding, position and design as one whole.

You createan impact plan and a project pitch

What you actually book

Not a course to click through. A workspace for your own project.

The components are not add-ons. Each one solves a concrete problem in finishing your transfer concept.

12 × 3 hours

Interactive live evenings

Professional input, examination of examples, discussion of limits and immediate transfer to your project.

So that knowledge turns into a project decision the same evening.
Weekly

Implementation office hour

Space for questions about sources, conceptual dead ends, priorities and the next concrete step of work.

So that your project moves on between sessions.
6–18 people

A small, experienced learning group

People from different industries check whether your concept is understandable and bring in their perspective.

So that unclear points show up before the client conversation.
1 full day

Final day with the project pitch

You present the problem, the professional core, methods, transfer and the evaluation plan, and you answer questions.

So that the material becomes a whole you can show.
Optional

TÜV Rheinland person certification

Separately bookable exam preparation course and external examination procedure to ISO/IEC 17024.

So that your individual qualification can also be checked publicly.

Real final projects

This is how varied your own project may be.

These topics were worked on as transfer concepts in Scientific Trainer. They show the range of projects, not a guaranteed success in the market.

The larger purpose · Complexability

AI is taking over parts of thinking. What is needed is Complexability.

The industrial revolution replaced muscle power. AI is now taking over parts of human thinking, particularly in demanding knowledge work. What gains value is what sits above that: analytical, critical and creative thinking, and the ability to stay connected to what will be needed from here on.

We call that Complexability: the capacity for complexity plus the capacity to connect. In research its foundation is called Absorptive Capacity: not only taking in what is new, but letting better thinking and better action grow out of it. For organisations this is a question of survival: whoever cannot take up and use what is new loses the ability to innovate. You practise this capacity on your own project.

After every piece of work with AI, both should be better off: the work and the person who answers for it.

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before you decide.

Is your situation more specific? Then we clarify in the introductory call whether your project and the program fit together.

Discuss your own question with Franz →
What tangible deliverable do I walk away with?

A presentation-ready transfer concept for your own signature training, coaching offering or enterprise L&D initiative — complete with an evidence-checked scientific core, instructional architecture, transfer design and evaluation plan.

Do I need a prior degree in the natural sciences or statistics?

No. The program is designed for experienced practitioners in training, executive coaching, consulting and L&D. We translate primary research and statistical effect sizes into clear, applicable frameworks without requiring prior laboratory or mathematics training.

Which project can I bring?

For example a new training offering, a learning journey, a coaching or consulting model, an internal qualification program, or an existing format that you want to rebuild and examine professionally.

Do I already carry out an evaluation during Scientific Trainer?

You develop the plan for it: the change you want, possible indicators, data sources, points of measurement and the limits of what the results can say. Building measurement instruments in practice, collecting data and analysing it statistically are covered in depth in the Senior Scientific Masterclass or carried out as separate research.

Is the TÜV certification mandatory?

No. The program can be booked without the TÜV package. The optional person certification to ISO/IEC 17024 is an additional, externally examined proof of qualification. The Advanced Scientific Trainer qualification is the basis of admission to it.

How large is the group?

Typically 6 to 18 people learn together. From 10 participants onwards, a certified Scientific Trainer supports the group as a co-facilitator.

Can my employer fund my participation?

Yes. In the introductory call we are glad to work through the business benefit of your specific project. A volume discount applies from two people onwards; from seven people your own in-house cohort is possible.

What is the difference from the Senior Scientific Masterclass?

In Scientific Trainer you put your concept on a sound footing, present it and plan its later evaluation. In the three-year Masterclass you go on to work practically on measurement instruments, statistics, your own data and field evaluation.

Your project is the starting point

Give your expertise more influence and impact.

In the 25-minute call, Franz and you look at your specific project: where can science change your judgement, your offering and its later impact the most, and is Scientific Trainer the right step for that?
